Consultation Fees - Individuals, couples, families
Standard Fees
The standard fee is $150 for a 55 minute consultation between 8.00am and 5.00pm. The consultation fee for 5.00pm appointments is $160. These fees are well below the recommended Australian Psychological Society rate of $218.00 per hour.
A 55 minute consultation is usually sufficient for individuals. Initial family and couple consultations are usually 90-120 minutes duration.
Payment is required at the time of consultation and can be made by cash, cheque or through credit card facilities. HICAPS is also available. You may wish to check your eligibility for a rebate for psychological services with your Private Health Fund provider.
Concessional Fees - Health Care Card Holders
All Psychology assists Centrelink Health Care Card holders by offering a concessional consultation fee. Your Medicare rebate can be processed through the Medicare Easyclaim system following your appointment and these funds are usually deposited immediately back into your savings account.
